Project overview
Good Sport is an apparel brand for women connected to the world of American football. As part of the design team at Somos Volt, I designed the custom graphics for its FW24 collection: a set of name-and-number designs that each customer could personalize for their team.
Challenge
Names and numbers are the core of teamwear, and also what makes it look like fan merchandise. The graphics had to carry that personalization in a way that felt closer to fashion than to a stadium jersey, and work with any name and number.
Approach
To make the graphics feel like fashion rather than fan gear, I built a set of lockups inspired by the monograms, crests and serif lettering of private clubs and heritage sportswear, each one flexible enough to hold any name. Kept in black and white and placed small on the chest, the personalization reads as a detail on the garment rather than a logo across it.
